Shetland Rugby Club

The Shetland rugby club micros (Primary 1 to 3) meet every Saturday in Lerwick for an hour of fun activities. We train beside the other Primary year groups and welcome all abilities, any week. We aim to introduce and start to develop rugby skills, knowledge and love of the game through non-contact fun games.

Rugby helps develop children’s coordination, supporting physical development, balance, and strength. As well as teaching children how to interact with other team members, it teaches the essential values of respect, consideration, and kindness.
